Cyanotypes.

Cyanotype is a type of photography discovered by John Herschel in 1842, and this type of photography was carried throughout the 20th century as a cheap way of making copies and these are also known as blue prints.

Anna Atkins made this process more famous by making cyanotypes of british algae, particularly seaweed.

Here is my cyanotype.

To do this, I found a plant and used a scanner to scan it onto a computer then I opened the image in photoshop. We added adjustment layers and coloured them blue to create the cyanotype and then added a boarder to make the cyanotype have the old effect that Anna Atkins' own cyanotypes had when they were first made in 1843.
