Medical

Medical photography is used to show and document medical and surgical procedures. It usually is not edited in any way and therefore can be classed as documental photography. These would usually be shot with bright lighting as they would be shot in theatre.

This is a photograph of someone taking a photo of a surgical procedure. I think this is a good photo as it shows what medical photography is rather than just showing the photo that's been taken. I also think it is a good photograph as it itself is also an example of medical photography.

This is a good example of medical photography as it shows exactly what medical photography is.
This is a photo of a bruised arm, and would be used for a court case, or for insurance claims. It could also be used as a part of a documentary type image, to show how the bruising progresses over a time period.

This is a good photograph as it is used a lot in the medical world, as it is an x-ray. This photo immediately makes you think of things medical when you see it. X-Rays are taken by using x-ray lights, which is very bright and has a high exposure.

Forensic Photography

Forensic photography is usually photographs of the crime scene or of evidence. It is usually shot with natural lighting or sometimes using UV lights to make evidence stand out more.

This is a typical forensic photograph being taken of a crime scene. This photo would be taken using natural light as it doesnt need to have a high exposure, it just needs to be a simple picture. I think this is a good picture because it shows what forensic photography is.

This photograph is a picture of someone using UV lights to find evidence. This is a good photo because it shows how different lighting can be used for different things.
