Documentary Photography

Documentary photography is usually something that can show a big hisotrical event from the past, or basic things you may see everyday, such as your friends or family and their life.

Someone that documents big historical events is Don McCullin. McCullin is a war photographer and he has captured moments from wars in Vietnam, Bangladesh and England. There are many images showing people as they went through war times in different situations.

For example, this picture was taken in Bradford in the 1970's and simply shows 2 young boys stood infront of a brick wall in an urban enironment which reads 'NO NAZI'S IN BRADFORD'. This documents this time in Bradford and how it was okay for 2 ethnic children are accepted in a mainly white environment, but Nazi's were clearly not welcome in this community.
